Annie is a wonderful soul who defies any acceptable introduction, but in an effort to do her justice, I’ll say that Annie possesses a natural eye for the beautiful and talented, curiosity and the intellect to be a curator existing at the apex of art and fashion. In sum: she has my absolute dream job and the best part is that she essentially created it on her own. While she has worn many hats in many creative industries, it was her decision to start a vintage clothing company where she sources pieces from around the globe that ultimately took her to Mexico, which is where she discovered, by total chance, artwork from a family with a blinded father who told his daughters to never buy into the narrative that only men are valuable; this prompted his daughter to create vases that featured the 5 faces of the women in their family, and they all center their mother, their father’s wife, as the quintessential symbol of beauty and healing that defines and inspires their artwork.Â
Now, Annie represents the family in the art marketplace and has played a pivotal role in expanding their reach and bringing their artwork into the hearts, minds, and homes of people across the globe.
Given that her start was in fashion, it should surprise exactly no one that Annie has superb style and taste that reflects her singular mind and beautiful warmth. Her uniform looks like a dress, most likely sheer and definitely flowy, or khakis and a white t-shirt with Dr. Martens.Â
 Her essentials are just wonderful:Â
Walking, to absorb the world’s colors and textures
Mexico
A handful of meaningful books, notably:
A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki
Her relationships
